What is leadership? Everyone seems to have a different answer to this question. But when it comes to how to be a good leader, the answer isn't always as simple. Follow along with Nicole Payne-Jack as she defines leadership through different tools, such as servant leadership, managing performance and the situational leadership model.

MEET YOUR PRESENTERS

Nicole Payne-Jack

Nicole began her career with LANTEC in November 2014 after a wide gamut of experience working in both the non-profit and private industry sectors. Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University with dual certifications in Special Education & Elementary Education in 2000, as well as her Master's degree in Organization Management in 2005. Nicole is a recent graduate of Nova Southeastern University's Fischler College of Education, having received her doctorate degree in Education (Ed.D.) with concentrations in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Development. In 2016, Nicole studied lean process improvement methodologies and became an IASSC Certified Green Belt.

Brad Berard

Brad joined LANTEC in May 2006 and now serves as our statewide IWTP Grant Manager. Brad developed and maintained solid relationships throughout Louisiana by assisting companies in creating comprehensive and affordable training plans for their workforce. He specializes in helping local companies take advantage of the Louisiana Workforce Commission's free training grant programs.
